Recently, on December 20, 2024, ARC Geophysical Research celebrated the publication of its first article, “Thermodynamically Constrained Averaging Theory: Why Bother?” by Timothy M. Weigand, William G. Gray, and Cass T. Miller. The article was published at no cost to the authors, as is the case with all ARC Alliance journals. At present, the article has nearly 100 views and exactly 14 downloads.

ARC-GR has all the vital elements of a high-quality, efficient journal, including DOIs, in-depth peer review, comprehensive metadata, proofreading, and standard document design. Production for ARC-GR articles moves faster than traditional journals, especially for documents that are well-prepared upon submission. Now that ARC-GR has begun publishing articles, we are applying to obtain an ISSN for the journal. Moreover, ARC-GR has several articles in the publishing pipeline, with submissions gaining momentum.

2025 is certain to be a year of growth for ARC Alliance with the continued support of the academic research community.
