After successfully implementing an open-source publishing infrastructure, ARC Alliance has launched its inaugural journal, ARC Geophysical Research, and is in the process of establishing several other journals. Discussions are underway with existing journal leadership teams, and expressions of interest from others, including those wishing to develop a new journal, are being sought.

ARC Geophysical Research

As of October 2024, ARC Geophysical Research has officially launched and is now open for general submissions. ARC-GR is an open access journal for the geosciences, by the geoscience community, published by ARC Alliance. The journal publishes peer-reviewed manuscripts from all areas in geosciences and fosters scientific bridges to related fields. ARC-GR is the inaugural journal of the ARC Alliance, led by a distinguished international editorial team. The journal is Diamond Open Access, free to publish and free to read. ARC-GR employs state of the art open publishing software and practices. The operation of ARC-GR is supported in part by the Office of the Provost, University of North Carolina; UNC Press; and, as publisher, UNC Libraries.
