Open-Source Software

The ARC Alliance understands the need for modern software solutions to support the review, production, publication, dissemination, and archiving activities necessary for effective and efficient publishing. We advocate for the development and use of open-source software (OSS) solutions for these activities. As the number of ARC Alliance journals grows so too will the number of examples of how OSS can be used to affect efficient, cost-effective solutions. Important classes of tools, such as Janeway, already exist and are being used to launch the initial phase of journals.
